I'm Marty, a Chicago-area based illustrator and designer. Like most other artists, I started drawing as a kid, and the habit stuck. My parents and other adults introduced me to all sorts of fantasy, sci-fi, comics, manga/anime, movies, cartoons, and games that formed the basis of my artistic influences.

Some of my favorites from yesteryear as well as today, include: Larry Elmore, Keith Parkinson, and Jeff Easley, for their work on The DragonLance, Todd Lockwood for his work on Dungeons & Dragons, Jim Pavelec's Magic The Gathering work, Hara Tetsuo's work on Fist of the North Star, Paul Kidby's depictions of Terry Pratchett's Discworld, Andrew Bosley's board game illustrations, Alex Aparin's board game covers, and so many more.

I went to school in Chicago for Illustration, and worked as a screen-print artist and graphic designer for apparel for some time afterward.
